The flag of the United Kingdom, called the Union Flag or Union Jack is a combination of the crosses of the patron saints of United Kingdom.

The red cross on a white background of the center is St George of England. The white saltire on a blue backround is the cross of St. Andrew of Scotland.

And the red salitre on a white backround is the cross of St.Patrick of Ireland.

Its name comes from 1707 when the Royal Navy adopted the design for their boats, which was informally renamed Union Jack.

Actress Anne Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982, in Brooklyn, New York. The daughter of an actress and a lawyer, Hathaway grew up in Millburn, New Jersey. Hathaway married actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman on September 29, 2012. The couple had been dating for four years at the time. In November 2015, it was announced that Hathaway was expecting her first child with Shulman.

In addition to acting, Hathaway supports several charities, including the Step Up Women's Network and the Lollipop Theater Network. She currently lives in New York City.
